OUR STORY
The story of our property begins in 1799, when Abraham Mead built a farmhouse on eight acres along Field Point Road, land that would remain in the Mead family for well over a century.
In 1923, the Lovejoys acquired the property, moved the building to the top of a nearby hill, and reimagined it as an inn, where a succession of innkeepers added rooms, a widow's walk, and the Victorian flourishes that gave the place its enduring character.
Through the decades that followed, the inn passed through many hands, weathering hardship and revival alike, each owner leaving a mark on its long history. In 2021, an ownership group led by the Glazer Family acquired the property and embarked on a meticulous five-year renovation, reimagining it as The Field Point—a modern luxury destination that honors its historic soul.
Today, The Field Point honors that two-century legacy while welcoming a new generation of guests.
